Both the MR Q and MR Q Supine are fully-integrated YAG lasers. The MR Q Supine is the only laser currently on the market that allows the treatment of patients who are unable to sit at a slit lamp. It is ideal for paediatric departments and clinics with a high volume of elderly patients.


Yes, Meridian’s latest offering is the MR Q SLT which is a dual laser system that delivers both SLT photoregeneration and YAG photodisruption to provide excellent versatility for your glaucoma and cataract management needs. Mr Q and MR Q SLT have built-in features assuring better treatments, safer laser usage, and quicker response. This includes electronically controlled offset which resets to posterior 100 μm after the laser enters on ‘stand-by’ to reduce the risk of lens pitting. A laser key is provided as standard to prevent unauthorised use of the system. As well as a slit lamp adaptor, Merilas lasers have a laser indirect ophthalmoscope attachment and straight & angled endoprobes for endophotocoagulation procedures.


Each device is sold with a complementary pair of safety glasses.


Yes, the tables supplied with the lasers are all wheelchair-friendly. They can be used for bariatric wheelchairs, without removing the foot-rests.

The HS-UK Service Division is an authorised service agent for Meridian lasers, so can deal with any servicing or maintenance issues. Our Field Service Engineers are trained by the manufacturer, Meridian, to use their specialist tools, so all equipment is serviced to the manufacturer's standard. During a service visit we test the full functionality of the laser including its safety features, check the laser alignment and adjust where required, and measure the laser output power.
