MR Q from Meridian is a fully-integrated YAG laser combined with an LED slit lamp, which boasts a five times magnification changer (6x,10x,16x, 25x & 40x). Extensive testing of the laser cavity has shown it to have over 600,000 exposures. Offering the choice of both anterior and posterior offset on one screen, MR Q ensures a fast and smooth workflow for treating posterior capsulotomy, pupillary membranectomy and iridotomy.

With its rapid start-up time and easy-to-use touch-screen display, MR Q offers outstanding usability. The analogue rotary knobs, such as laser power and aiming beam brightness, are located on both sides of the laser head to provide a comfortable working position for left and right-handed users.

MR Q's digital anterior and posterior offset allows the user to visualize where the laser focus is and provides a clear warning when the anterior offset is selected, minimizing user error. The electronically controlled offset resets to posterior 100 μm after the laser enters on stand-by; this unique feature minimizes the risk of shooting at the wrong position, avoiding the risk of lens pitting. The red reflex(1) resulting from the retro illumination of the posterior capsule optimizes the on-axis capsulotomy. This feature allows seamless evaluation of the capsulotomy edges’ integrity, shape, and position in relation to the premium multifocal IOL rings, with a higher degree of success and increasing patient satisfaction.

MR Q Supine is a fully-integrated ophthalmic laser for supine use, designed for capsulotomy and iridotomy. This is the only laser system on the market which allows the treatment of patients who are unable to sit at a slit lamp and is ideal for paediatric and elderly patients.

MR Q Supine features an LCD display with simple navigation between selection buttons. Control buttons change and monitor system information and an authentication pin code is in place for safety. The ergonomic 0-210° inclinable Haag-Streit Surgical binoculars allow comfortable operation.

MR Q Combo is a versatile laser system which has been designed to save space and maximise treatment possibilities. MR Q combo allows you to easily switch between treatments with the unique parking station, which protects the sensitive optics of the slit lamp adapter when the photocoagulator is not in use. The specially designed slit lamp adapter ensures the safe handling of the two lasers.

MR Q Combo has been designed to safely treat anterior and retinal conditions, and is available in three configurations to suit your needs; MR Q Combo with the Merilas 532α, MR Q Combo with the Merilas 532nm and MR Q Combo with the Merilas 577nm.
