Eyesi Surgical simulator offers virtual reality cataract and vitreoretinal surgery training. It provides a realistic, risk-free environment in which ophthalmic surgery skills can be practised and refined before performing procedures on patients. Trainees operate with life-like instruments while viewing a high-resolution, stereoscopic virtual surgical field.

Dedicated software modules provide comprehensive training content which progress from fundamental surgical skills to complete procedures and complications management. Practical simulator-based training is complemented by introductory online courses available through the VRmNet web portal.

Training for eye examinations & laser treatment

Eyesi Slit Lamp is virtual reality training simulator for diagnostic eye examinations and Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT). Its embedded curriculum enables trainee ophthalmologists and optometrists to develop slit lamp handling skills and recognise relevant clinical findings, independently of patient availability and clinical routines. Practical simulator training is complemented by introductory online courses via the VRmNet web portal.

Eyesi Indirect ROP simulator

A complete training solution for ROP screening, diagnosis & laser treatment

Eyesi Indirect ROP is a high-fidelity simulator designed specifically for training in the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) in premature infants. It allows ophthalmologists and trainees to practise indirect ophthalmoscopy and laser therapy on a realistic virtual preterm patient, without risk to a real infant. Eyesi Indirect ROP also teaches classification of retinopathy, includng the main characteristics of ROP and how to recognize the different zones and stages according to the “International Classification of Acute Stages of Retinopathy of Prematurity”.
