Created in collaboration with Corrales/Karickhoff,* the translucent material of the occluder prevents the reception of any stimuli while producing a gentle illumination on the covered eye. This is perceived as more pleasant for the patient, while also helping to counteract a potential blackout.
The magnetic holder not only saves valuable patient set-up time, but also reduces risks associated with improper coverage. Moreover, as the occluder is not in direct contact with the patient, it eliminates the need for disinfection, thereby increasing its shelf life. Finished with the examination? Simply store the translucent occluder in the hygienic lens compartment until next use.
