Haag-Streit Academy host new & updated ‘Improving Outcomes’ biometry courses

Haag-Streit UK recently held their first ‘Improving Outcomes’ biometry courses featuring a brand new and updated agenda.

The two courses are now titled ‘Improving Outcomes Biometry: Measurement Essentials’, which focused on measuring acquisition and being able to understand the results, and ‘Improving Outcomes Biometry: Clinical Decisions & Management’, which focused on how biometry measurements can be used to guide clinical decision making.

Consultant Optometrist, Mr David Sculfor and Consultant Ophthalmologist, Peter Wilson delivered lectures and interactive workshops on both days, and new group sessions were introduced where case studies were discussed and analysed.

Haag-Streit Academy Events Co-ordinator, Victoria Chapman-Brown, commented: “The new agenda was very successful, and the new group sessions were well-received by attendees. As part of the new approach, we changed the layout of the Academy space to create a more welcoming environment for attendees to integrate more effectively and discuss their clinical experiences, which worked very well.”

Positive comments received by attendees included: “I have really enjoyed the course and I hope to attend day 2 in the future”, “Great group size and a lovely location/room”, “Very interesting course”.

The next ‘Improving Outcomes’ biometry courses are scheduled to take place in June 2025 in Birmingham. The exact dates and location will be announced nearer the time on the Haag-Streit UK website here: https://hsuk.co/AcademyCourseBookings.
