Gemma began her ophthalmic career in the NHS, working as a Specialist Ophthalmic Photographer for The Royal Wolverhampton Eye Infirmary. Over her 13 years in the imaging department, Gemma developed a keen interest in slit lamp photography and trained new photographers unacquainted with the field of ophthalmology. She is experienced in all aspects of ophthalmic imaging including OCT, OCTA, autofluorescence, colour imaging, infrared, specular microscopy, confocal microscopy, FFA and ICG angiography.
Gemma joined Haag-Streit UK two years ago and manages a portfolio of products including slit lamps, OCT and VR simulation. She provides support with product training, attends events, and has a key focus on education in the Haag-Streit Academy. Gemma is an integral part of the Haag-Streit Academy team, presenting live courses and bespoke training, where she shares her passion for ophthalmic imaging.
When at home, Gemma enjoys spending time with her family and going out walking, as well as arts and crafts.
