Rebecca Seymour

Marketing & Education Manager

With more than 20 years’ marketing experience, Rebecca is an MCIM Chartered Marketer and has worked for Haag-Streit UK for more than 13 years. She has overall responsibility for the marketing and education function at HS-UK.

Rebecca drives HS-UK's marketing, utilising a wide variety of initiatives to deliver the organisation’s marketing strategy, in line with Haag-Streit Group plans and wider HS-UK business goals. She is also responsible for HS-UK’s Education Team, who deliver Haag-Streit Academy courses, educational workshops and bespoke training packages for customers.

At home, Rebecca has two young children who keep her busy and plays an active role in her children’s school as a governor. When she does have spare time, she enjoys socialising with friends.

Victoria Chapman-Brown

Events Manager

Victoria is responsible for planning HS-UK’s attendance at trade shows and conferences. She co-ordinates the design of our stands, and can also be found helping to build the stands on the day of the event. Victoria has worked for HS-UK and Clement Clarke for over 25 years.

A busy mum of two, Victoria likes to play netball, keep fit and socialise with friends and family when she gets spare time.

Anna Chen

Product Manager

Anna practised as a registered Optometrist in New Zealand before moving to the UK in 2023 to work for Haag-Streit UK. She graduated from The University of Auckland in 2019 with a Bachelor of Optometry degree with first class honours and won the Senior Scholar Award in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.

Anna’s specialist interests include glaucoma care and myopia control. At HS-UK, she has a cross-departmental role and supports user education, sales, marketing, and customer service within her portfolio of products, which includes Haag-Streit biometry and perimetry devices along with the Meridian Medical lasers. Anna is passionate about teaching people and sharing knowledge, and is able to fulfil this as part of the Haag-Streit Academy’s team of expert speakers. She is also an Honorary Teaching Fellow with The University of Auckland, mentoring final year optometry students during their placements.

In her spare time, Anna enjoys being outdoors on the tennis courts or going for a hike. 

Gemma Edwards

Product Manager

Gemma began her ophthalmic career in the NHS, working as a Specialist Ophthalmic Photographer for The Royal Wolverhampton Eye Infirmary. Over her 13 years in the imaging department, Gemma developed a keen interest in slit lamp photography and trained new photographers unacquainted with the field of ophthalmology. She is experienced in all aspects of ophthalmic imaging including OCT, OCTA, autofluorescence, colour imaging, infrared, specular microscopy, confocal microscopy, FFA and ICG angiography.

Gemma joined Haag-Streit UK two years ago and manages a portfolio of products including slit lamps, OCT and VR simulation. She provides support with product training, attends events, and has a key focus on education in the Haag-Streit Academy. Gemma is an integral part of the Haag-Streit Academy team, presenting live courses and bespoke training, where she shares her passion for ophthalmic imaging.

When at home, Gemma enjoys spending time with her family and going out walking, as well as arts and crafts.

Gayle O’Reilly

Marketing Co-ordinator

Gayle focusses on PR, media ads, customer communications, and the production of marketing materials. She is also responsible for creating content for social media. Gayle has over 10 years of marketing experience. 

In her spare time, she enjoys sewing and drawing. She also loves the challenge of an escape room!

Gill Assheton

Data & Digital Executive

Gill leads on the HS-UK website and eshop, ensuring all product information is up-to-date and a variety of digital content is available including videos, photo galleries, and clinical papers and publications. She is also responsible for the company’s marketing data which we use to ensure our customers receive company news, current literature and invitations to events and courses.

When not at work, Gill enjoys walking in the countryside, and practising yoga and Pilates. She is also mum to two teenage humans and two geriatric cats.
