Dean Johnson

Managing Director (CEO)

Dean is ultimately responsible for the performance of the company and the overall success of the business.

As the highest-ranking executive and leader of Haag-Streit UK, Dean presides over the organisation's day-to-day business operations and is responsible for making high-level decisions regarding the overall company and the sectors and fields of the business, including sales, service, education, product development, and marketing.

Dean’s goal is to ensure the company is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short-term and long-term objectives and achieving its corporate and business strategies.

Dean’s a lifelong learner who, when not working or studying, enjoys trail/cross-country running, art, music and spending quality time with his family.

Angela Masson

UK National Sales Manager

Angela is responsible for all diagnostic and surgical sales for the UK region. Angela and her team of Area Sales Managers and Regional Sales Managers present our portfolio of products to consultants both in their practices and at conferences nationwide. 

Angela has been with Haag-Streit UK for 13 years. She loves working with her team and is passionate about her job. She has worked in the optical industry for 30 years and started her career in an optometry practice in 1995.

Dave Margetts

Customer Services Manager

Dave manages the day to day running of the UK Sales office. He provides support to the Area Sales Managers, and oversees quotations, demonstration stock and the processing of all UK sales orders.

He has enjoyed a long career within the sales arena and celebrated his 32nd year with Haag-Streit UK in February 2024.

Dave is passionate about the environment and sustainability and is an active member of the local Green Party.

Rebecca Seymour

Marketing Manager

With more than 20 years’ marketing experience, Rebecca is an MCIM Chartered Marketer and has worked for Haag-Streit UK for more than 13 years. Rebecca has overall responsibility for the marketing function at Haag-Streit UK. She drives marketing initiatives, utilising a mix of traditional offline and online marketing to deliver the organisation’s marketing plan in line with the wider HS-UK business strategy.

Rebecca manages the marketing team and oversees design, advertising, PR, branding, copywriting, marcoms, events, social media and the production of marketing collateral. She is also responsible for HS-UK’s corporate website and e-shop.

At home, Rebecca has two young children who keep her busy and plays an active role in her children’s school as a governor. When she does have spare time, she enjoys socialising with friends.

Rob Morgan

Export Sales Manager

Rob manages the world-wide sales and distributor networks of our UK-manufactured Clement Clarke Ophthalmic product range, which includes the Perkins Mk3 and Synoptophore, and the gold standard range of John Weiss instruments and implants.

Outside of work, Rob’s life is dominated by family and sport. If he’s not kicking a football around or playing cricket, then he’s spending time with his wife and two children.

Tim Lister

Service Manager

Tim joined Haag-Streit UK in March 2024. He has more than 25 years’ Service Management experience and has overall responsibility for the UK service department. He works closely with the management team in the UK and globally to ensure continuous improvement of the customer service experience.

Tim is a father of two children and in his spare time he enjoys restoring cars and spending time with his family and his dog.

Gino Ostacchini

Company Director (COO)

Gino is responsible for overseeing operations and support functions at Haag-Streit UK. He also holds a dual role with the Haag-Streit Group, supporting the quality and regulatory side of the business.  In addition, he has carried out the role of Pension Trustee for over 10 years.

Gino has been with the company for more than 34 years and during that time, he has had the opportunity to plan, engage, drive, and deliver numerous group strategic objectives.

Outside of work, Gino enjoys spending time with his family, watching and participating in sports, attending live music events and supporting charities, such as Mind, with fundraising.

Doug Barnes

Operational Logistics Manager

Doug has 35 years of experience within the logistics and warehouse industry. He has been with the Haag-Streit group of companies for over 31 years in various roles, including logistics, purchasing and production planning.

Doug manages a small team of four with responsibilities ranging from goods inward and quality control activities, and the despatch of goods to our customers all over the world.

In his spare time, he enjoys camping and riding his motorcycle.

Kennedy Reed

Head of Human Resources & Facilities

Kennedy looks after our fantastic offices in Bishop’s Stortford and ensures we have a safe and healthy environment to work in. She manages HR functions including training and recruitment, and she makes sure that the needs of all employees are always a priority. Kennedy has been with Haag-Streit UK for 21 years.

Outside of work, Kennedy enjoys watching football (she supports West Ham!) and cricket. She also enjoys socialising with her friends and she is the social secretary for her netball club.

Kerrie Mouncey

QA/RA Manager (UK) and Head of Regulatory Affairs (Global)

Kerrie has been with Haag-Streit UK for 10 years. She is responsible for the quality and regulatory compliance of the UK site and regulatory requirements of all HS manufactured products. She oversees certification across all markets, whilst maintaining the HS group business strategy.

When she’s not working or running around after her two young children, Kerrie plays full contact rugby as a utility forward and recently started training as a RFU referee.

 

Martin O’Neil

Head of Finance

Martin is responsible for the Financial and Management Reporting and heading up the Finance Department at Haag-Streit UK.  Having been with the company for 3 years, Martin works closely with the Finance team to meet departmental objectives. He also works with his colleagues across the organisation to determine annual budgets and forecasts and ensures that internal financial procedures are aligned with both Group and external requirements.

Outside of work, Martin is a keen long distance marathon runner, but also enjoys the shorter distances and participating in races.
