MedOne offers a comprehensive range of speciality cannulas, including; General, Soft tip, Dual Bore, Silicone Oil and Subretinal. It also offers a range of Backflush Instruments, to help Surgeons achieve good surgical outcomes. The MedOne portfolio also includes a range of single-use surgical instruments, including; knives, picks and forceps.

MedOne Soft Tip Cannulas are ideal for fluid aspiration, on or beneath the retinal surface. With soft, flexible, high-flow silicone tips, they allow gentle access to the retina for drainage from the surface or subretinal space. Three gauge sizes are available; 20g, 23g and 25g.

MedOne offers XL Soft-Tip Cannulas with increased length for better access to the retina in long eyes. Extendable FlexTip Cannulas are also available, with soft silicone tips that can be fully retracted for manoeuvre through valved entry cannulas or extended up to 7mm.

Standard FlexTip Brush Cannulas are available, which have a soft silicone tip for gentle brushing and manipulation of the retina, perfect for blood removal from the retina surface. An extendable version, with a soft silicone tip that can be fully retracted or extended up to 1.5mm, is also included in the range.

MedOne Dual Bore Cannulas are used for injecting liquid, such as perfluorocarbon (PFCL) or staining dye, while allowing drainage of BSS to relieve pressure build up. The original MedOne coaxial Dual Bore Cannulas have a filled hub designed to decrease air bubbles during the PFCL injection. They also have a longer central cannula for injection of surgical liquids with venting through a secondary lumen and a single port near the hub. DualBore SideFlo Cannulas can be used for small gauge vitrectomy surgery and have a side port for fluid injection, which reduces the possibility of retinal injury caused by a fluid jet stream.

MedOne’s selection of Silicone Oil Cannulas facilitates the entire process of viscous fluids injection and removal from the eye. They are available in a variety of sizes, from 20g, 23g, 25g to 27g, and include; VFI Cannulas, Oil Removal Cannula (Kapran), VFI Infusion Cannulas, and Viscous Fluid Infusion Cannulas.

Subretinal Cannulas allow safe penetration of the retina to either drain subretinal fluid or to inject medication. Standard PolyTip & Extendable PolyTip Cannulas are rigid enough to penetrate the retina, eliminating the need to create a separate retinotomy.

Yes, MedOne’s Backflush Instruments have an ergonomic and lightweight design, with a high-volume backflush reservoir for a comfortable grip and excellent control during micro-vitreoretinal surgery. They can be used for either passive or active aspiration of intraocular fluids and debris.

MedOne offers MVR Blades designed for precise water-tight ports in micro vitreoretinal surgery or side ports in small incision cataract surgery. These small gauge instruments allow faster recovery and provide good outcomes. MedOne’s MicroPicks are intended for lifting the edge of ILM or other retinal membranes for subsequent peeling with forceps. The range of MVR Knives, with a diamond architecture of the blade tip, ensure a clean and precise incision every time.
