Haag-Streit releases Eyesi Slit Lamp Software 2.0
Haag-Streit is delighted to announce the release of Software 2.0, which is available now for the Eyesi Slit Lamp Simulator.
Eyesi Slit Lamp Software 2.0 now includes courses for fundoscopy and gonioscopy, and features virtual patients earlier in the courseware, empowering students to practice key skills and learn new ones. Moreover, the intuitive in-microscope view, now available in every task, adds convenience and comfort to learning. Combined with richer graphics, multilanguage support, and a fresh VRmNet portal: mastering slit lamp examination skills has never been easier, or more accessible.
Virtual patients increase practical relevance
This software update introduces virtual patients in Tier A1 (“Device Handling.”) Having learned their skills in a gamified office environment, students are then presented with a high-quality model of a patient. This fosters the skills learned, providing immediate practical relevance to slit lamp handling.
Fundoscopy & gonioscopy – a complete suite for the eye examination
Eyesi Slit Lamp Software 2.0 extends the scope of Tier B (“The Healthy Eye”) to include routine examination courses for fundoscopy (posterior segment) and gonioscopy (chamber angle) examinations. Together with the familiar and comprehensive anterior segment training courseware, this update makes it even easier for students to develop a complete suite of eye examination skills.
In-microscope view – guided learning in all aspects of the system
The in-microscope view of the instruction icons is now available in every task of the courseware, adding convenience and comfort to learning. Whether students work on the touchscreen or via the in-microscope view, users learn a logical approach to setting up the slit lamp.
Multilanguage support – Chinese & Spanish added
In response to customer demand, the Eyesi Slit Lamp Simulator is now available in Chinese and Spanish, extending the benefits of simulation to students and educators worldwide. Additional languages will be added, dependent on the market response.
Richer graphics & enhanced VRmNet portal
Eyesi Slit Lamp Software 2.0 features a refreshed graphical interface, bringing users even closer to a real-life learning experience. Moreover, by connecting the Eyesi Slit Lamp to the new version of Haag-Streit’s VRmNet portal, users and educators benefit from a modern interface to support the learning journey. For example, trainees can log in anytime to track their current training status, evaluate their performance, and access quality learning content, intertwined with the simulator curriculum for a blended learning experience.
