Lacrivera manufactures VeraPlug, a punctal occlusion system. Four varieties of VeraPlug are available from HS-UK; the standard VeraPlug, VeraPlug Flow, VeraPlug FlexFit and Vera180. The standard VeraPlug offers a high level of comfort and excellent retention, VeraPlug Flow provides partial occlusion, VeraPlug FlexFit is collapsible for easy insertion, and Vera180 offers extended temporary occlusion.
Standard VeraPlug and VeraPlug Flow come in the following sizes; small (0.4mm to 0.6mm), medium (0.6mm to 0.7mm), large (0.7mmm to 0.8mm) and X-large (0.8mm to 1mm).
VeraPlug FlexFit is available in; X-small (0.2mm to 0.3mm), small (0.3.mm to 0.5mm), medium (0.6mm to 0.8mm) and large (0.9mm to 1mm).
Vera180 comes in the following sizes; 0.2mm, 0.3mm, 0.4mm and 0.5mm.
VeraPlug, VeraPlug Flow and VeraPlug FlexFit are available in two configurations. For the most convenience, they are available individually packaged and pre-loaded on a sterile, disposable inserter. For best value, they are available in non-sterile bulk packaging.
Yes, Vera180 provides temporary occlusion lasting around 180 days. Vera180 is ideal for treating post-surgical dry eye and assessing the potential effectiveness of a non-absorbable punctal plug. Vera180 is a synthetic absorbable lacrimal plug made of poly-p-dioxanone.
