Capsular Tension Rings

Safer, less complicated surgery

MORCHER Capsular Tension Rings (CTRs) are manufactured from one-piece PMMA and stabilise the capsule in cases of damaged or missing zonules. The rings reduce the risk of damaging the capsule or zonula during surgery as they simplify the implantation of foldable IOLs, due to better centering of the IOL, which is beneficial in cases of future capsular bag shrinkage.

MORCHER's range of capsular rings consists of; capsular tension rings, cionni rings, and capsular ring segments.

MORCHER foldable intraocular lenses are sterile optical medical devices designed to replace or supplement the human crystalline lens. The hydrophilic group of lenses are made of acrylic material that is positioned in the capsular bag or sulcus. Type 92B cannot be injected due to its large optic size, and type 97B is a larger optic lens for highly myopic patients and for a myopic range of power.

Caliper Rings

The Caliper Ring is a temporary surgical device to enable the Surgeon to create a more precise anterior capsulorhexis. Use of a Caliper Ring is advised in any surgical procedure where a calibrated anterior capsulorhexis of a precise diameter is desired. This can be in primary procedures or in secondary IOL exchange procedures. Manufactured in black PMEA, Caliper Rings are available in five sizes, ranging from 4.3mm in diameter to 6.8mm.
