Nova Eye announces new and improved technology for the iTrack Advance

Haag-Streit UK, as the sole UK distributor for Nova Eye, is pleased to announce the latest enhancements to the iTrack Advance technology.

Nova Eye have developed proprietary Shear Clear™ Technology for canaloplasty. This new approach transforms cohesive viscoelastic through shear force into a low-viscosity fluid during canaloplasty, enabling it to circulate more freely and penetrate deeper into the trabecular outflow pathway.

In conjunction with the introduction of this technology, a new-look ‘Green light’ iTrack Advance handpiece has been developed. A new iLumin Lightbox is also now available giving a green guiding light instead of red. Both iLumin variants work with both iTrack devices and the colour of the light is determined by the iLumin lightbox rather than the handheld iTrack Advance.

Customers will be pleased to know that the core product technology of the iTrack™ Advance and the technique for the surgeon and nursing staff remains unchanged. Further to this, the indications for use and regulatory clearance remain unchanged.

Martin Rescorle, HS-UK Surgical Specialist, said, “These updates will serve to enhance the popular iTrack Advance technology. The green light will allow the guide light to be far more visible for the surgeon as they guide the device through Schlemms canal. The Shear Clear technology will ensure that the viscoelastic can move more freely and penetrate deeper into the trabecular outflow pathway, including collector channels.”

All orders which are shipped from 1st July will be fulfilled with the new look iTrack Advance. For more information on the new updates, please call Haag-Streit UK on (01279) 883807 or email info.unitedkingdom@haag-streit.com
