Slit Lamp Courses - Basic & Advanced

HS-UK is delighted to announce new dates for two 'Slit Lamp Skills' courses taking place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Leeds.

The Slit Lamp Basic Skills Course on Thursday 13th March 2025 offers a full day of training and includes over two hours of hands-on workshops with product experts. Beginning with a talk covering the fundamentals of the slit lamp, the course then features a live demo of how the slit lamp works and examination techniques. This is followed by more specialist examination techniques, including Goldmann applanation tonometry and fundoscopy principles. The Basic skills course is ideal for those who are new to the slit lamp or who wish to improve existing slit lamp skills. Click here to view the agenda.

The Slit Lamp Advanced Skills Course takes place on Friday 14th March. The course focuses on skills and techniques that will take the slit lamp examination to the next level, including identifying ophthalmic pathology and use of auxiliary lens, including Gonioscopy and fundoscopy examination. During the morning a series of lectures will focus on various advanced techniques including the skills necessary to achieve superior results in the field of ophthalmic imaging, with expert advice on how to get the most from your imaging module. This is followed by hands-on, demonstrations and workshops delivered by highly skilled slit lamp users. The Advanced Skills course is ideal for those who have experience with using the slit lamp and want to advance their understanding of illumination and examination techniques, as well as gain a greater appreciation of of ophthalmic pathology.
