Haag-Streit Academy delivers successful slit lamp courses in Birmingham
Haag-Streit UK recently delivered its popular Academy slit lamp courses to enthusiastic attendees in Birmingham.
Both the basic and the advanced day were fully booked, with attendees arriving from locations across the UK. Attendees from a variety of different professions were present, including doctors and trainee doctors.
Ophthalmologist, Mr Sunil Mamtora, who presented lectures on both course days, was commended for his product knowledge and passion for slit lamp techniques. Consultant Ophthalmologist, Mr Peter Wilson, assisted with hands-on workshops on the advanced day; his knowledge and expertise were greatly appreciated by staff and delegates.
Haag-Streit UK Events Manager, Victoria Chapman-Brown, commented: “Our recent slit lamp courses were highly successful, and we received some fantastic feedback from attendees. We would like to say a special thank you to Sunil and Peter for their input. Their knowledge is invaluable to attendees who are keen to enhance their slit lamp skills.”
Glowing feedback from attendees included comments that praised the courses for being “absolutely marvellous”, “well organised” and “delivered brilliantly”, and they were delivered in a “really relaxed, friendly learning environment”.
Haag-Streit Academy will be hosting their final round of basic and advanced slit lamp courses for 2025 on 2nd and 3rd October at Haag-Streit Academy HQ in Bishop’s Stortford, with spaces still available at the time of writing. They are also hosting a Slit Lamp Skills Hub session on 4th October – a four-hour session which allows attendees to practice and develop their slit lamp skills in a relaxed and supported environment. Anyone wishing to attend this session should already be familiar with the slit lamp. Those completely new to the slit lamp should attend the Basic Slit Lamp Skills course first.
