Berghaus /Schrom lid chains

The Berghaus/Schrom lid chain is a flexible implant enabling optimum pre-tarsal alignment and long-term flexibility. The implants have the design of a chain to smoothly adapt to the form of the tarsus.

Biocompatible

Manufactured from platinum and iridium, the lid chain has very good tissue compatibility. The combination of the materials and the chain form is reflected in its above-average performance results and lower rate of complications.

Test weights

The appropriate weight implant can be determined by pre-operative fitting using test weights, which are glued to the upper lid. The test weights are made of stainless steel, as they are not for implantation, and are reusable.

Safe with MRI & CT scans

SPIGGLE & THEIS lid implants are MR conditional so a patient can be safely scanned as long as the scanning conditions are appropriate.
