Immersive training for diagnostic skills

The Eyesi Slit Lamp is a state-of-the-art VR simulator and training system for ophthalmologists, optometrists and other slit lamp users. Operated like a real slit lamp, trainees look into the microscope and see exactly what they would expect to see if there was a real patient sitting in front of them.

VR technology

The high-fidelity virtual reality technology of the Eyesi Slit Lamp ensures an immersive simulation experience and lifelike learning environment - making it possible for trainees to effectively gain experience independently of clinic routine.

Lifelike training

The system provides the same functions and controls as the Haag-Streit BQ 900 slit lamp. All optical effects visible in a real slit lamp are realistically reproduced by the simulator. Trainees can examine virtual patients with a biomicroscope, fundoscopy lens or gonioscopy lens.

Training courseware

Trainees can examine more than 150 virtual patients with a wide selection of clinical examples. The integrated courseware ranges from basic device operation to diagnosis of complex cases. An optional module teaches SLT treatment, one of the most widely used laser therapies for open-angle glaucoma.

VRmNet portal

VRmNet, a web-based training portal featuring course content and evaluation functionality, allows educators to set-up users, manage courses and analyse learner performance. All learning materials, user and training data can be stored and securely accessed via PC or mobile device, 24/7.
